Kawa Musubi started in early 2026 in front of Izakaya Yakitori Kawa. We make Japanese food by hand, twice a week. But selling lunch was never the whole point.

Musubi means to bind. Rice bound grain to grain. The hands that make it bound to the people who eat it. A person bound to the neighbourhood they live in. A healthy body bound to a healthy mind.
Musubi betekent verbinden. Rijst korrel voor korrel verbonden. De handen die het maken verbonden met de mensen die het eten. Een mens verbonden met de buurt waarin hij woont. Een gezond lichaam verbonden met een gezonde geest.

Every onigiri is pressed by hand on the morning we sell it. Our Bento box (Japanese lunch box) is built the same way. Rice-based Japanese cooking is naturally light, and it keeps you awake through the afternoon instead of putting you to sleep.
Elke onigiri wordt met de hand geperst op de ochtend dat we hem verkopen. Onze Bento box (Japanse lunchbox) maken we op dezelfde manier. Japanse keuken op rijstbasis is van nature licht, en houdt je wakker door de middag in plaats van je slaperig te maken.
